Relief: .010 / .002The maple neck on Clara II is from one of two boards I bought in 1987, I was a full-time cabinetmaker then, and spent a lot of time picking through lumber. These two boards were unusual even then (curly birdseye is quite rare now) for being very light and stiff. Clara II is the first time I have got up the nerve to cut one of them up (almost, I took off a skinny piece to make a viola de gamba bow some years back).
